The Lord specifically told me to read Jerry's book "In His Presence." It was quite a fun read that led me in to the depths of God. As I read the part about sitting on Abba Father's lap in the most intimate place of worship, I felt an immediate rush of faith arising to do the same. So, I put my phone down and closed my eyes as I envisioned in my mind's eye, sitting on the Father's lap. Immediately, I was caught in a vision of me as an innocent toddler in a diaper seated on His lap gazing at the light emanating from His face. I had the widest smile and I was clapping my hands (in the spirit) with such joy! I felt so free and at deep peace as I was chilling on His lap. I didn't say anything but was just enjoying His presence. Suddenly, a thought came to ask Abba how I could forgive this one person I've had trouble forgiving. I figured this must be God so I simply asked Him in my heart. To my surprise God answered by showing me a vision of a bible character of how He saw that person. I started to weep as I felt His mercy and love toward this person. I experienced great freedom in that moment as He changed my mind about that person as I was able to truly forgive from the depth of my being. 

 

Jerry also talks about getting our shout out in praise in the book. As I read it, I felt God saying to Praise with a loud shout. I told God "God, I can't shout in the house!" Then, He told me to go to our garage storage room which is quite sound proof and underground. I'm glad God is pretty smart that way! Anyway, I felt afraid at first to do it but as I obeyed what came out of my mouth was a pathetic little noise. In that moment I knew that my shout was suppressed by walls in my soul. I continued to praise Him and shout and stayed at it until a loud shout broke through and I experienced freedom in worshipping Him that day as well!  

 

God used this book to launch my worship in to another dimension. The practical very easy to understand guide Jerry gives to enter in to His presence and to stay there are phenomenal and they work! I've been changed daily by simply hanging out in His presence in intimate worship and encountering His manifest presence.
